Publication of intimate videos / Tirana Police launch investigations, IP addresses of sites and profiles are being identified

The Tirana Local Police Directorate has launched investigations on its own initiative, after noting the publication and distribution on several portals and online platforms of film material with intimate content.

The Sector for the Investigation of Cybercrimes is carrying out investigative actions in order to identify the IP addresses and other data of the sites and profiles that have published or distributed this material, and is also undertaking procedures for its removal from the platforms where it has been published.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecution for the criminal offences “Illegal interception of computer data”, “Interference with computer data”, “Unjust interference in private life” and “Misuse of equipment”.
