Man arrested in Lipjan on suspicion of attempted murder

A man was arrested in Lipjan on Sunday at around 7:00 p.m. on suspicion of attempted murder, as KosovaPress reports.

According to police, the suspect physically attacked another man following a dispute between them. The injured man was taken for medical treatment to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo.

By order of the prosecutor, the suspect was placed in detention, while police classified the case as “aggravated attempted murder,” KosovaPress reports.

A nearly similar incident occurred in Pristina on Sunday, but police classified that one only as assault, not attempted murder. Police said that in the capital the victim was physically attacked by an unidentified suspect, the prosecutor was notified, and the case is under investigation.
