Maria Koronellou’s psychological drama “Delete Me” debuts in New York as part of the Circle Theater Festival

The psychological drama “Delete Me”, by Greek author Maria Koronellou, will debut in New York as part of the Circle Theater Festival, in a new production directed by Valentina Piombi and performed in English by American actresses.

The one-act play premieres on 28 October at the AMT Theater (354 W 45th St, New York), with six performances until 15 November, with the author herself taking part as Emily, a teenager who tries to protect her family from the collapse of her illusions, her addictions and the traumas of her upbringing, in a journey of self-discovery and liberation.

It is the latest in a series of international productions of the work, which has already been staged in Italy, Argentina, Mexico, Cyprus and the Netherlands, as well as in Athens, while in 2025 it was presented at the Greek Festival of New York and the Circle Theater Festival, and in 2026 it will also be performed in Spain and Bulgaria.

Maria Koronellou is a graduate of the New York Film Academy and the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, and her work has been awarded in competitions in Greece and abroad, while for “Delete Me” she has written the original screenplay in English.
