“No window will be broken…” Gucati talks with the police official – asks to stay in the Assembly courtyard until the vote on the Specialist Chambers law
Hysni Gucati, from the Organisation of War Veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army (OVL-UÇK), addressed the police superior with the request that they be allowed to stay in the courtyard of the Kosovo Assembly until the completion of the vote on the Law on the Specialist Chambers.
Gucati asked that the veterans stay in the space in front of the Assembly, stressing that their aim is to await the voting process and that they do not intend to cause incidents.
The police superior, meanwhile, made a request to Gucati that there be no clashes or attempts to enter the Assembly premises.
“I have only one request, do not challenge us, if you with 2-3 people want to enter…”, the police superior told Gucati.
In response, Gucati said the veterans will stay calm and will not approach the Assembly building, adding that they will await the developments of the parliamentary process.
“It will be fine, in God’s name. We will not approach even the stairs, we will wait for what happens. Until the law is read in second reading, we will not approach. No window will be broken,” Gucati said.
He added that the veterans have not come to cause violence or to insult MPs.
“We brought you to power, not to insult you… we shed blood for this country. We are not throwing bricks at you and we are not insulting you,” Gucati said, as Telegrafi reports.
