Neymar Bids Farewell to Brazil — Ancelotti Confirms

The match against Norway at the 2026 World Cup will remain Neymar’s final appearance for Brazil. Carlo Ancelotti, in a statement to CNN Brasil, confirmed there has been no change of heart from the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain striker, who had declared at the time that his experience with the “Seleção” had come to an end.

“Neymar deserved to be there because of his quality. He has already confirmed that he does not want to return to the national team. He is irreplaceable because he was an extraordinary and unique talent. So, an irreplaceable player,” said Brazil’s national team coach.

Ancelotti defended the decision to call up the Santos number 10 for the World Cup.
