Parliament Opens by Condemning the Hague Verdict on KLA Leaders, Joint Statement! Peleshi: “A Painful Verdict, Not Only for Kosovo…”

This Thursday’s plenary session of Parliament began, with Speaker Niko Peleshi delivering the opening speech.

He opened his speech with the Hague verdict on the KLA leaders, stating that Parliament will issue a statement being finalized in the European Affairs Committee.

“Honorable colleagues. Before we begin with the agenda, yesterday the Kosovo Specialist Chambers announced the verdict against the four KLA leaders. This decision constitutes an important and painful decision, not only for Kosovo, but also for our national history and memory. Today we will convey a joint statement through Parliament, where we will express the Albanian Parliament’s view on this decision. The Committee on European Affairs and Foreign Affairs is finalizing the details of the statement,” Peleshi said, among other things.
