Protest continues outside the Assembly, pyrotechnics thrown

The protest outside Kosovo’s Assembly is continuing even after the first-reading approval of the draft law amending and supplementing the Law on the Specialist Chambers and the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office.

The protesters continue to stay in the Assembly courtyard, while pyrotechnics were thrown in the areas around the building during the protest.

At today’s session, the deputies of the Assembly of Kosovo approved the draft law in its first reading.

After the vote, the Vetëvendosje deputies left the Assembly hall and headed to the balcony, where the protesters had gathered.

The protesters welcomed them with cheers and applause, and then the pyrotechnics began.
