Šajn: Roma and the socially poor were sent under pressure to the SNS rally at the Arena

Srđan Šajn, chairman of the Roma Party of Serbia, stated today that the Serbian Progressive Party rally at Belgrade Arena has “unleashed a wave of violence against Roma and socially poor citizens”, the Serbian portal Nova.rs reports. According to Šajn’s statement today (3 October 2026), a large number of Roma and other citizens were sent to the rally under pressure.
Šajn claims that, to hide their social status, Roma were given white T-shirts “under which they must hide their truth”. “The time when they must bow to the dahijas is passing”, he said in the written statement, according to Nova.rs.
The Roma Party has officially backed the Student List for the 25 October elections; Šajn addresses Roma and the poor with the message that “they will no longer have to disguise themselves in white” if they vote for freedom — “if they want freedom, on 25 October they must circle number 3, because they are circling freedom”.
The accusations come on the day of the central campaign rally of Vučić’s list, which began at 18:00 with mass participation; organisers speak of tens of thousands of participants. Šajn’s statement is his own claim, not a fact verified by independent sources — reported here as a statement, not presented as confirmed fact.
