Son of Martyr Xhavit Haziri Calls for Protest Tonight in the Square
Çlirim Haziri, the son of martyr Xhavit Haziri, has called for a rally tonight at “Skënderbeu” Square in Pristina, following the verdict against the four former leaders of the KLA.
Haziri said today’s decision is, in his words, a heavy blow and “totally unacceptable”.
“With hope and a strong belief in justice, last night dawn broke for us in the square. But today we faced a heavy blow. To the long chain of pains and injustices that have followed us through generations, today’s court decision was added,” Haziri wrote.
He declared they will not give up and will continue to demand, as he put it, the release of the former KLA leaders.
“Surrender has never been an option for us. Never. Not in the stormiest times nor in the darkest stages. Those who expect to see us broken or silent before this knife are gravely mistaken. We will not be silent!” he wrote.
Haziri called on citizens to join and take part in the rally announced for tonight.
“Therefore, I call on all of you: let us come together today, in the days and weeks to come. Let us show them who the people are: US or those prosecutors and judges with fabricated evidence,” he declared.
The rally is announced for tonight, September 16, at 21:00, at “Skënderbeu” Square in Pristina. /Telegrafi/
