TIFF on the PRIX VIMEO 2027 shortlist for the third year in a row
The Tirana International Film Festival (TIFF) has been included in the PRIX VIMEO Shortlist 2027, among 31 festivals qualifying for the European Film Awards, marking the third year in a row that the winner of the Best European Short Film award at the Tirana festival reaches this shortlist.
For the 2026 edition, the Best European Short Film – Eligible for European Film Awards 2026 award went to the film “Nobody Said Anything”, directed by Tamara Todorović, a co-production of Serbia, France, Slovenia and Croatia, with a running time of 15 minutes. The film was part of TIFF’s programme of short films eligible for the European Film Awards.
The TIFF 2026 jury, composed of Hoda Taheri, John Canciani and Nikola Majdak, praised the film for its masterful building of tension and its subtle portrayal of distrust and the gradual loss of solidarity.
“Nobody Said Anything” follows the story of Katarina, who is called to the home of her daughter’s friend to face the consequences of a seemingly innocent game that has got out of control.
Tamara Todorović’s film had an important international journey even before TIFF. It was part of the official short-film competition at the 2026 Cannes Festival, selected among only 10 films from thousands of applications.
For TIFF, inclusion for the third year in a row in the PRIX VIMEO Shortlist constitutes another important recognition of the Albanian festival’s position on the European short-film scene.
“Congratulations to the staff and the whole team!”, TIFF writes in its announcement of this achievement.
