Battle for the water of Burimas in Maliq, the village residents block the road to the water-supply works and clash with the police

The residents of the village of Burimas returned to their protest today (5 October), opposing the water-supply works that envisage taking water from this village’s spring in order to supply the village of Zvezdë.

This is the fourth protest held by the residents, who express themselves determined against this investment.

The residents declare that they will continue their protests against this investment, as they are convinced that their supply of drinking water could be endangered. They have also confronted the Police.

Meanwhile, representatives of the water utility have also previously explained that the project does not endanger the residents’ drinking-water supply.
