Tirana abuse horror: 12-year-old girl allegedly assaulted by her aunt and cousin — two arrested

A shocking case of sexual abuse has been reported in the capital, where a 12-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted.

The minor was allegedly abused by two people — her maternal uncle’s son and her aunt.

According to Euronews Albania journalist Sara Demushi, the serious incest case mobilized Tirana police, who arrested two people: the minor’s 29-year-old maternal uncle’s son and her 31-year-old aunt.

The 12-year-old is suspected to have discussed with friends intimate videos she had on her phone; it was the school principal who raised the alarm and notified police. Her parents told police they had no knowledge of the abuse. The girl was questioned in the presence of a psychologist and admitted to the sexual abuse.
