Woman seriously attacked by stray dogs in Kodra e Trimave, ends up at UCCK

A woman was seriously attacked today by several stray dogs in the Kodra e Trimave neighborhood of Pristina, Klan Kosova reports. The case happened on “Makiaveli” street, where several dogs bit the woman, causing her serious wounds. According to the same reporting, she received medical care at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK).

As Klan Kosova reports, the case was made known by a resident of this area, who is a relative of the victim. He said the problem with stray dogs in Kodra e Trimave has been going on for a long time and that residents live with concern for their safety and that of their children.

The resident, whose statement is also published by the magazine Kosovarja, called on the institutions to take steps as quickly as possible. He says a particular concern is the children, who pass along this street to go to kindergarten and school. The magazine Kosovarja has published photos of the wounds the victim received.

Attacks by stray dogs have been a recurring concern in Pristina and other cities of Kosovo, and citizens have repeatedly asked the institutions for concrete measures to address them.
