“Rama” sparks debate at the Culture Committee too, Zhupa mentions the SPAK files and the architects’ book, the Socialists react: We knew it

The latest political developments and Prime Minister Edi Rama’s agenda dominated today’s meeting of the Culture Committee as well.

This time, the topic at least seemed more fitting, as chairwoman Ina Zhupa commented on the head of government’s participation in the Tourism Summit in Brussels a day earlier.

“I saw a prime minister who was in front of the journalist in body, but in mind was reading the SPAK files, how many times his name has come up, how often there is talk of his meetings and messages with Vlora Hyseni, Ergys Agasi, with the whole structured criminal group,” Ina Zhupa said.

Zhupa was even better prepared: she had brought with her the famous book “Albanian Files” with the project ideas of foreign architects, about which the Democratic Party has also filed a criminal referral with SPAK.

“I thought he would have taken the book with him to the tourism strategy, but he is afraid because it is a SPAK file. It would weigh on his conscience to hold it in his hand,” Ina Zhupa said.

The response came from deputy chairman Erion Malaj and the other Socialist members.

“I did not doubt that you would put on the same tape, you repeat the same things. But I tell you that I do not represent the 800,000 Albanians who voted for the SP. This narrative that the prime minister is not up to the task of representing Albania at a tourism event does not hold,” Erion Malaj said.

“Do not feel sorry for us, we are here for Albania and the Albanians,” Briseida Çakërri said.

Meanwhile, the writer-deputy Loer Kume chose metaphor to counter the opposition’s stance.

“Today two entities have the stage light: the first is justice, which continues its work; the second, the writers, who are divided into small, medium and great writers who deal with the ideas of tomorrow,” Loer Kume said.

Chairwoman Zhupa’s immediate reaction was not lacking.

“There are two kinds of politicians. Mediocre ones who think about the next elections, and great politicians who think about the next generations,” Ina Zhupa said.

After 30 minutes of debate, the Committee continued its discussion according to the agenda, on the draft law on copyright.
