18-year-old arrested after hitting 14-year-old girl with unlicensed motorcycle and fleeing the scene

An 18-year-old has been arrested by Police on suspicion of hitting a 14-year-old girl with the motorcycle he was driving without a license and then fleeing the scene.

According to the Police, the incident occurred today at around 1:10 p.m. in the village of Shalës. The young man, with the initials A. N., a resident of Belsh, is suspected of driving the motorcycle without a license when he struck the 14-year-old.

After the accident, the 18-year-old fled the scene.

Police services reacted immediately and, following investigative actions, managed to identify, locate, apprehend, and arrest him.

The young man was arrested in flagrante by Road Traffic specialists and is charged with the criminal offenses of “Violation of road traffic rules” and “Leaving the scene of an accident.”

Meanwhile, the 14-year-old was transported to the hospital, where she is under doctors’ care.

The procedural materials on the case will be referred to the Prosecution for further action.
