Arta Avdiu elected TV director, Rilind Gërvalla deputy director of RTK

The Board of Radio Television of Kosovo appointed Arta Avdiu to the position of director of the Albanian-language television channel of Radio Television of Kosovo, and Rilind Gërvalla to the position of deputy general director for programme and editorial affairs of Radio Television of Kosovo.

Statement of the RTK Board:

The Board of Radio Television of Kosovo held its next meeting according to the agenda set in the order of the day. Today, on October 2, 2026, at the meeting held of the Board of Radio Television of Kosovo, issues of importance for the functioning and management of RTK were addressed. Within the framework of the order of the day, the Board reviewed the recommendations of the General Director of RTK regarding the positions for senior members of RTK’s management.

After reviewing the relevant recommendations, the Board appointed Arta Avdiu to the position of Director of the Albanian-language Television Channel of Radio Television of Kosovo, and Rilind Gërvalla to the position of Deputy General Director for programme and editorial affairs of Radio Television of Kosovo.

The Board also reviewed the issue regarding the composition of RTK’s Audit Committee and appointed Board member Flokart Aliu as an internal member of the Audit Committee at RTK, and reviewed the documentation regarding fixed assets out of use and approved the proposal for their sale, in accordance with the legal procedures in force.

The RTK Board assesses that filling the senior management positions is an important step for strengthening the professional functioning of the public broadcaster and remains committed to supporting the continuation of the process of completing the management structures, as well as to supporting and supervising the management in fulfilling RTK’s mission.
