How to spot a hidden camera? The expert demonstrates live: a camera in a bag films and records audio

A guest on “Review” with Greta Topjana, security expert Fatjon Softa brought into the studio a bag in which a hidden camera, connected to Wi-Fi, had been installed.

The expert demonstrated live how the small camera worked; it was mounted in the bag and, according to him, could not be spotted at all. He showed that the hidden camera filmed and recorded both video and audio.

“This camera records both video and audio. You can have it on your collar, on your hat or on your glasses”, he said.

The expert also showed a series of objects where spy cameras can be placed. According to him, cameras can be placed in alarm sensors, as well as in smoke detectors.

“Cameras can also be placed in water glasses, bottles, sockets, chargers, soap holders, mirrors, wall clocks, wristwatches, bags and in endless places, but also in air conditioners”, he said.

Besides video cameras, he said there are also audio devices that can be used to eavesdrop and to listen to conversations and what is being said.

The expert also showed that there are video cameras that are placed on the screws that hold paintings or frames hung on the wall. According to him, these cameras can also work in dark conditions, as they have infrared sensors.

“In cases where you are in a room and close the curtains, creating darkness: to understand whether there may be a camera in a room, the phone’s flash is used to look for reflections in the places where it is suspected the camera may have been placed. Even without the flash, a dot that turns purple can be spotted, which may indicate the presence of a camera”, he said.
