Aunt and nephew convicted for burning prosecutor’s car in Valjevo: they set it on fire for 1,000 euros

The Basic Court in Valjevo today accepted the plea agreements concluded by the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Ub with Pavle Iveziq (20) and Milica Iveziq (42) from Kraljevo, who admitted participation in burning the car of public prosecutor Vukašin Vujičić from Valjevo, report Nova.rs and Danas (N1).

With the decision of Judge Aleksandar Xhokiq, Pavle Iveziq was sentenced to one year and five months in prison and a fine of 100,000 dinars; his time spent in detention is counted, starting from August 26, 2026.

His aunt, Milica Iveziq, was sentenced to six months in prison, which she will serve at home under electronic surveillance, as well as a fine of 40,000 dinars; her detention is counted from September 4, 2026.

According to the decision, Pavle Iveziq accepted the offer of an acquaintance from Obrenovac to burn a car in Valjevo for 1,000 euros. A friend from Belgrade, engaged by Milica Iveziq, drove him to the town in a “Fiat Grande Punto.” She gave her nephew a black winter hooded jacket to hide his identity during the commission of the criminal act; beforehand, in Stubline, they obtained a five-liter can of gasoline from an unknown person.

In Valjevo, Milica Iveziq and the friend from Belgrade remained in the car parked in the Milivoja Bjelica neighborhood, while Pavle Iveziq went to the parking lot on Karagjorgje Street, where he sprayed gasoline and set fire to prosecutor Vujičić’s “Seat Ibiza” car. The fire threatened to catch the other cars parked nearby, but the spread was stopped by a resident who saw the fire from the window and extinguished it with a fire extinguisher.

The court accepted the victim’s property claim, so Pavle Iveziq is obliged to pay Vujičić 100,000 dinars in damages. Both convicts also pay the costs of the criminal procedure, as well as the costs of the official defenders.
