33-year-old from Kosovo shot in Tirana — first details emerge

A 33-year-old man from Kosovo is suspected to have been shot in the leg with a firearm after a conflict in Tirana.

The incident was reported at around 14:35 this Friday, 25 September 2026, while the injured man, Kosovar citizen with the initials Gj. K., presented himself at the Trauma Hospital for medical assistance.

According to preliminary police data, the conflict occurred on “Egnatia” street and is suspected to have started over weak motives.

After receiving the notification, police services went to the scene and began investigative actions to identify and apprehend the suspected perpetrator.

On 25.09.2026, at around 14:35, Kosovar citizen Gj. K., around 33 years old, presented himself at the Trauma Hospital for medical assistance, suspected of having been shot in the leg with a firearm.

Preliminarily, investigations indicate the incident occurred after a conflict on “Egnatia” street, over weak motives.

Police services, after receiving the notification, immediately went to the scene and are carrying out initial investigative actions to identify and apprehend the suspected perpetrator.

The investigative group is continuing its work to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and document it legally.
