Broja could switch clubs as Albanian striker attracts interest from Greece and the UAE
Albania striker Armando Broja is being targeted by clubs in Greece and the United Arab Emirates, with the transfer market still open in both countries.
PAOK initially hoped to take the 25-year-old on a simple loan, but Burnley’s preference is either a permanent transfer or a loan agreement that includes an obligation to buy.
The window in Greece closes tonight at 21:00.
Al Jazira, leaders of the “UAE Pro League” at the start of the season, also have Broja on their shortlist of potential strikers.
If they decide to firm up their interest and the player remains available, they have until September 28 to reach an agreement with Burnley. At Al Jazira, Broja would join Kristjan Asllani.
Before the German window closed earlier this month, Bundesliga club Schalke also showed interest in taking Broja on loan and covering his wages, but the attempt was rejected.
