Celine Dion’s Paris Comeback Brings a New Wave of Tourism to the City
Celine Dion’s return to the stage is also affecting Paris tourism. A hotel near the Arc de Triomphe has created a suite inspired by the singer, with prices starting at 659 euros per night.
Singer Celine Dion is conquering Paris not only with her return to the stage, but also with a new wave of tourism linked to her concerts.
While searches for flights to the French capital have increased, a hotel in Paris has created a suite entirely inspired by the Canadian singer.
Named “Paris, I’m Ready,” the suite costs from 659 euros per night and includes elements recreating the atmosphere before a concert, among them a wall of microphones, illuminated mirrors and artwork inspired by Celine Dion.
The hotel has also created other experiences for fans, from musical and gastronomic activities to a free two-hour tour of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and the Seine River.
The initiative is linked to the growing phenomenon where tourists build their entire trip around a concert.
Celine Dion’s return to Paris thus shows that a major concert can affect not only the music industry, but also a city’s flights, hotels and tourism.
The singer’s concert in Paris is the first after a 6-year break.
