Partizan overturn Bayern 86:84 in Munich, third straight win in the EuroLeague
MUNICH – Partizan’s basketball players won tonight in Munich against Bayern with the score 86:84, in the 3rd round of the EuroLeague, as Danas.rs reports. It was the third straight win for the “black-and-whites” in the elite European competition, which keeps the Belgrade team with a maximum record at this start of the season.
The hero of the match was Carlik Jones. As Danas reports, Partizan’s play organiser scored five points in a row that gave his team the overturn and the decisive lead, about two minutes before the end of the match. Until that moment Bayern had dominated the match and had led by up to 13 points in the second half.
An interesting detail of the evening in Munich was two former Partizan players who shone in Bayern’s ranks: Duane Washington scored a three-pointer at the buzzer of the first period and two more three-pointers in the fourth period, while Vladimir Lučić was another reference point for the Bavarians.
The winner of the match was decided in the final minutes, with Partizan of coach Penjaroja keeping its composure and the lead until the final buzzer, confirming its excellent form in the EuroLeague, Danas.rs writes.
