Civil servants’ strike: French aviation regulator cancels flights at Paris and Marseille airports
France’s civil aviation regulator has asked for the cancellation of a number of flights at Paris’s main airport and at Marseille airport on Tuesday due to a general civil servants’ strike.
The DGAC ordered airlines to cancel 5% of their flights between 07:00 and 20:00 local time at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport and 25% of their flights at Marseille airport between 16:00 and midnight.
Charles de Gaulle airport is operated by Aéroports de Paris and is one of the main hubs of Air France-KLM.
Traffic could also be disrupted at the regional airports of Nantes, Strasbourg, Limoges, Lourdes and Pau, it added.
Traffic will be normal at the country’s other airports.
