Bayern target striker Woltemade, seen as Kane’s successor
From England comes the news that Bayern Munich want the Juventus striker as the replacement for Harry Kane. The German joined coach Spalletti’s side less than 24 hours before the end of the summer transfer window and could leave very soon.
Nick Woltemade has not yet fully settled at Juventus (three league cameos and a start in the 5-0 Europa League win over NEC), having not found his best physical form. Yet rumors are already circulating about a future away from the Bianconeri.
The German striker moved to Juventus on a dry loan for €5 million in total, on a €4.4-million-a-season wage. The agreement with the English club includes no purchase option, while the valuation in case of a purchase reaches €60 million. Newcastle bought the player from Stuttgart in August 2025 for €75 million.
From England and then Germany comes the news that Bayern Munich are interested in Woltemade. The Bavarians want him for next season. So far there have been no direct contacts with the player’s agents or Newcastle, but the Germans see Woltemade as Harry Kane’s successor.
“When he arrived he wasn’t very fit, now he must find form,” coach Spalletti said of the German striker. “He must play so we understand where he should be, up front or around the box.” The Juventus coach expects the real Woltemade, but there is already talk of his departure. He is unlikely to stay even if he has a very good season.
