Customs Seize Four Rolex Watches at Vermica, Worth Around €33,000

Kosovo Customs announced it has prevented an attempt to evade customs duties through the non-declaration of goods at the Vermica border crossing point.

During routine checks, a customs officer stopped for inspection a vehicle that had entered Kosovo’s territory. When asked whether he had goods or monetary values to declare, the foreign citizen declared no goods.

Based on suspicions raised during the initial check, the vehicle was directed to a detailed inspection, where customs officers discovered four Rolex wristwatches.

According to Customs, the approximate value of the watches is around €33,000.

The goods were temporarily seized at the Vermica border point, while the case is being handled in accordance with procedures and legislation in force.

Kosovo Customs said it remains committed to preventing smuggling and the evasion of customs duties, as well as protecting the financial interests of the Republic of Kosovo. /Telegrafi/
