Debate in the Laws Committee on the territorial reform, Bylykbashi: The municipalities have not been notified

The draft law “On the administrative-territorial division of local government units in the Republic of Albania” will be discussed on Wednesday in the Committee on Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights, starting at 11:00.

Democratic Party MP Oerd Bylykbashi spoke against the territorial reform proposed by the government, which plans to merge several municipalities.

“The draft law has not yet been discussed with the municipalities. The Municipal Council of Elbasan has not been notified. It seems they were in a hurry for the government to move quickly,” Bylykbashi said.
