Territorial reform, Balla: The SP will vote for it, all MPs must be present
The head of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, stated that the parliamentary group has decided to support with its vote the draft law on territorial reform, once its review in the Laws Committee is complete. In a statement to the media, Balla said that during the parliamentary group’s meeting, clarifications were given on the concerns raised by MPs regarding the draft law. According to Balla, the clarifications were given by his colleague Arbjan Mazniku, who chaired the Special Commission for administrative-territorial reform.
“In the parliamentary group’s meeting, colleague Mazniku, who chaired the Special Commission, gave answers on several clarifications raised by colleagues of the group on the draft law for administrative-territorial reform,” Balla stated.
He announced that the decision of the Socialist parliamentary group is that, once the review in the Laws Committee is concluded, the draft law will pass for a vote in a plenary session.
“The group’s decision is that, as soon as it is concluded in the Laws Committee, this draft law will pass for a vote in a plenary session,” said the head of the SP parliamentary group.
Balla also stressed that the Socialists’ vote in favour is part of those political decisions for which the presence of all MPs of the parliamentary group is required.
“The SP parliamentary group’s vote in favour falls among those political decisions for which all MPs must be present and vote,” he said.
