Demhasaj: What is happening with PDK? If they respected the war, they would not grovel to Albin Kurti

Political analyst Arton Demhasaj has reacted after the meeting of PDK leader Bedri Hamza with acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti at the Government building. Demhasaj, in a public reaction, raised questions about PDK’s positions, emphasizing that at the same time several of the party’s vice-chairmen are taking part in the protest where, among other things, the dismissal of minister Donika Gervalla is demanded.

“What is happening with PDK? And what is this contempt for the values of the war?” Demhasaj wrote. He also recalled the statement of the previous day by Bedri Hamza, in which, according to him, the PDK leader had warned of a shift from the party’s positions on the presidency issue.

“A few days ago, not by chance, I mentioned the name of commander Ramush Haradinaj for president. Ramush came out himself and a few days before the hearing in The Hague proposed Thaci for president, while today Hashim Thaci’s PDK chooses to negotiate with Donika Gervalla’s boss,” Demhasaj declared.

According to him, PDK should have had more courage regarding its political positions and the values that emerged from the war. “If they respected the war even a little, they would not grovel to Albin Kurti and surrender,” he wrote.

In the end, Demhasaj said that, in his view, an alternative for PDK would be to support Ramush Haradinaj for president. “They have Ramush Haradinaj as the choice, if only they had the courage. Elections are near and the categories that emerged from the war will then know who betrayed them and who did not,” Demhasaj concluded.
