Democratic Party Prepares for Local Elections: Candidates by Early October! Plan Also for a No-Confidence Motion Against Rama

The meeting of the Democratic Party chairmanship and the Secretariat has concluded.

According to A2CNN, it was decided that from now on, chairmanship representatives will be deployed to the party’s branches, as part of the renewal and organization of the branches.

It was also decided that candidates for the upcoming local elections must be selected within the first two weeks of October.

Also, following the parliamentary group’s decision-making, the chairmanship decided to officially submit to parliament the draft prepared by DP experts for electoral reform with 100 municipalities.

There was reportedly discussion of a national protest, but no decision on a date or venue for calling it.

Sources also say that the idea of a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Rama in parliament was raised at the meeting, but nothing was decided.
