Parliament Rejects Opposition’s Demand to Change the Agenda

Parliament rejected the opposition’s demand to change the agenda in today’s plenary session. DP leader Sali Berisha proposed changing the agenda, demanding a debate on the former head of SHISH, Vlora Hyseni.

After Berisha’s speech, the Speaker of Parliament moved to the vote on the minutes of Parliament’s proceedings, which was approved with 73 votes in favor, while the opposition, in a sign of protest, began banging the tables with their hands.

Today’s plenary session agenda includes two urgent interpellations requested by a group of Democratic Party MPs. The first is scheduled with Environment Minister Sofjan Jaupaj, and the second with Education Minister Mirela Kumbaro.

During the session, the draft law “On the participation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania in the military operation of the International Stabilization Force in Gaza” is also expected to be reviewed.
