EPS warns citizens of scam emails imitating electricity bills
Serbia’s power utility EPS warned today that a phishing campaign is underway online, in which citizens are sent fake emails purportedly containing electricity bills, as the newspaper Danas reports.
EPS stresses that it has not changed the way it sends emails or their content, and that it never sends customers notifications with payment links, according to Danas.
The company has informed the National CERT and the High-Tech Crime Department at the Ministry of Internal Affairs about the detected cases, Danas writes.
EPS appeals to citizens who receive such messages not to open suspicious links and not to share their personal data, Danas concludes.
