Fire on the Pristina–Fushë Kosovë highway, Gashi: It was among the largest of the last decade, teams from Lipjan and Drenas were also mobilised

The commander of the Fire Brigade, Malë Gashi, has announced that Friday’s fire on the Pristina–Fushë Kosovë highway was among the largest fires of the last decade.

In a post on Facebook, Gashi writes that colleagues who were not on their regular work schedule were also quickly mobilised to fight the blaze, as Telegrafi reports.

“Yesterday, until after midnight, our teams faced one of the largest fires of the last decade.

In such a situation, the Fire Brigade teams did everything possible to stop the spread and bring the fire under control. Colleagues who were not on regular duty were also quickly mobilised to fight it.

I express my deep respect and gratitude to all my colleagues, who gave their maximum, with dedication and courage, until the late hours of the night.

A special thank you to the Fire and Rescue teams from Lipjan and Drenas, which answered the call and joined us in tackling this fire.
