Rama presents “Flamingo Mirror”: Every government file online for citizens. Facts versus half-truths, not political rhetoric

Prime Minister Edi Rama has presented the new “Flamingo Mirror” platform, an online interface of “Pasqyrë Albania”, which aims to offer citizens official documents, data, legal references and detailed information on issues and projects of public interest.

According to Rama, the platform will serve as a public source where citizens can directly consult the documents and official materials related to various government files.

“Flamingo Mirror” will be accessible to everyone and will be updatable.

The first file published on the platform is the one related to Sazan-Zvërnec. Rama said that the official documents, legal references and detailed information on the public questions and concerns related to this issue at the current stage have been placed there.

According to him, the platform’s aim is for citizens to be able to see the documents themselves, read the sources and distinguish the facts from the other claims circulating in the public space.

The prime minister announced that the platform will be expanded with other files that have been the subject of public discussion.

“I will start with the country’s most talked-about file, today with the Sazan-Zvërnec file. It is a source that will serve everyone. It will serve citizens to see what is written in all the official documents and what the materials of a government file say. In this ‘Flamingo Mirror’ we will continuously place every government file, with special attention. We are also preparing several other topics with the team and very soon we will also place the KAYO file, which has been talked about on social channels and in media spaces. Likewise, Milot-Balldren has been another topic discussed over fabrications and half-truths,” Rama said.

Rama said that this platform also has as a component the collection of citizens’ questions in real time and the publication of official answers. Rama said the platform will focus on official documents and sources, excluding, according to him, political rhetoric.

“It is a component of ‘Pasqyrë Albania’, part of which will also be the possibility to follow in real time every government project, every public project, every public action financed by citizens’ taxes. Likewise, in the ‘Flamingo Mirror’ there is another component, which are the questions collected in real time and the official answers. In the ‘Flamingo Mirror’ there is no political rhetoric, but only a language of facts supported by legal references and official documents. That is the aim, and it is a mirror in continuous updating,” he said.
