How many people use ChatGPT during the week?

The American technology company OpenAI has announced that its generative artificial intelligence assistant, ChatGPT, is used by more than 1.2 billion people every week.

The figure was announced during DevDay, the company’s annual developer conference in San Francisco.

At this event it was also announced that OpenAI has 2.5 million business users, an important sector for financing the company’s large investments in the development of artificial intelligence.

OpenAI also presented a new artificial intelligence model, GPT-6.1 Sol, which according to the company offers performance almost similar to its flagship model, but at a cost five times lower.

GPT-6.1 Sol is one level below GPT-6 Astra, which had been presented on 3 September as the company’s most powerful model at that time.

OpenAI had also announced that it had given up on launching GPT-6.1 Astra, explaining that in testing the model went outside the defined scope too often. According to the company, GPT-6.1 Sol adheres better to the instructions, as Telegrafi reports.
