First look at the three new stars of “& Juliet” on Broadway: Anthony Gargiula, Spencer Sutherland and Kenzie Ziegler make their debut
The first photos of the three newest cast members of the Broadway musical «& Juliet» have been released, as Playbill reports, giving audiences a first taste of the new generation of performers in the hit show at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.
Anthony Gargiula, Spencer Sutherland and Kenzie Ziegler, all three making their Broadway debuts, took over the respective roles of François, Romeo and Charmion on 15 September. Gargiula is a recording artist and social media star, known for the viral «Kitchen Singing Series» and appearances on «American Idol» and «I Can See Your Voice».
Sutherland became known following the success of his 2024 album «The Drama», sold-out world tours, and screen roles including Netflix’s «Afterlife of the Party» and Amazon Prime Video’s «I Know What You Did Last Summer». Ziegler is a dancer and social media star, known for appearing in the first six seasons of «Dance Moms».
The current Broadway company is led by Gianna Harris in the title role, with NSYNC’s Joey Fatone as Lance, Alison Luff as Anne, Corey Mach as Shakespeare, Michael Iván Carrier as May and Jeannette Bayardelle as Angélique.
«& Juliet», with a book by David West Read and songs by Max Martin, overturns the tragic ending of Shakespeare’s play by letting Juliet live. The musical, which opened on 17 November 2022, will play its final performance on 3 January 2027 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, with 1,723 regular performances.
