Formula 1 unveils 2027 calendar! Portugal and Turkey return — all the dates

The new season adds Sprint races, growing from 6 to 10, while two former circuits return to the World Championship.

There will be 24 races in 22 different countries, spread across 5 continents, plus 10 Sprint races. Formula 1 has unveiled the 2027 World Championship calendar and two major new developments immediately stand out. Portugal and Turkey return to the official calendar and the Sprint race programme is expanded, growing from 6 to 10.

The season starts in Bahrain, on the weekend of 12–14 March, after the pre-championship tests at the Sakhir circuit from 24 to 27 February. The first Grand Prix will be in the Sprint format, followed by Saudi Arabia. The World Championship then moves to Australia (Sprint), Japan (Sprint) and China, before reaching Miami and Canada (Sprint).

After the first block of races closes, Formula 1 moves to Europe, starting in Monte Carlo on 6 June. What stands out is that the principality will also host a Sprint race, the 5th of the season. In June Formula 1 returns to Portugal, while Turkey, another returning venue, is scheduled for October, between the Azerbaijan and Singapore races.

Silverstone and Monza will also host Sprint races in this edition. At the start of October the World Championship begins its closing phase with the races in Austin, Mexico City, São Paulo (Sprint) and Las Vegas. The final two races will be in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, but in 2027 both will also feature a Sprint race.
