Knežević visits Mladić’s grave in Belgrade: ‘Every bird to its flock — and I to the Serbian commander’
Democratic People’s Party (DNP) leader Milan Knežević visited the grave of convicted war criminal Ratko Mladić in Belgrade, days after he was buried on September 7.
Knežević had not attended Mladić’s funeral because of an official trip to the United States.
In his Facebook post, alongside photos from the grave, he wrote: “Svaka ptica svome jatu, i ja srpskom komandantu” (“Every bird to its flock, and I to the Serbian commander”).
The funeral of the former commander of the Army of Republika Srpska was attended by MP and DNP presidency member Vladislav Bojović and Mihailo Asanović, mayor of Zeta and presidency member; on Milan Knežević’s behalf, the funeral was attended by his brother Mirko.
