Kurti receives congratulations on government formation from North Macedonian, Montenegrin PMs and German embassy
Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has received congratulatory letters on the occasion of the government’s formation and the start of the new mandate, as the Kosovo government announces in a statement distributed today.
Among those who sent congratulations to Kurti are the prime minister of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski, the prime minister of Montenegro and the German Embassy in Kosovo, Klan Kosova reports.
In his letter dated September 13, 2026, Mickoski congratulates Kurti on his re-election as prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, expressing confidence that the two countries will continue to build even more productive relations through political dialogue and cooperation in the economy, infrastructure, security and regional cooperation.
A congratulatory letter was also sent by the German ambassador in Pristina, Rainer Rudolph, who on September 25 congratulated Kurti on the new mandate. According to the German Embassy’s letter, Germany values Kosovo as an important partner in the Western Balkans and remains committed to the region’s stability, reforms and European future.
The letter also stresses that the EU-led normalization dialogue with Serbia remains essential for long-term stability in the Western Balkans, and expresses hope that Kosovo’s government will engage in its swift resumption and work toward practical and mutually respectable agreements.
