Macron: CIA did not warn France of possible Russian drone attacks

French President Emmanuel Macron has said the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency did not warn Paris of a possible Russian attack across Southern Europe that could also strike France.

“I can deny it. The CIA did not inform the French services,” he said in an interview with French television channels TF1 and France 2.

Macron added, however, that Russia is multiplying hostile and criminal acts against European countries and that France could face attacks similar to the foiled one in Leipzig.
