New Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon: al-Mansouri hit from the air, two large explosions by the Israeli army
Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike on the town of al-Mansouri in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon on Thursday evening, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), as Al Jazeera reports.
Large explosions were heard in the Bint Jbeil district between the towns of Beit Lif and Yaroun, as the Israeli army carried out controlled explosions to demolish residential homes, the agency reports.
Along the border line, Israeli artillery fire hit areas of the border town of Odaisseh and the outskirts of Kfar Kila, causing concern among residents, Al Jazeera adds.
The strikes come as part of Israel’s ongoing campaign in southern Lebanon, which has hit border villages and towns without interruption since the escalation of the regional war, with the Israeli army still holding troops at five points across the border, despite the ceasefire framework.
