Meeting in Tirana: EU ambassador and Justice Minister discuss reform and integration

The European Union Ambassador to Albania, Sofia Moreira de Sousa, held an official meeting with Justice Minister Toni Gogu. The news was announced by the office of the EU Delegation in Tirana through a social media post.

The focus of the discussions was the importance of the sustained implementation of justice reform, as well as the need to concentrate efforts on meeting the key priorities linked to Albania’s EU membership process.

Public trust and consolidation of reforms

During the meeting, the EU’s senior diplomat stressed that consolidating the justice system remains one of the main pillars on Albania’s European path.

“Public trust in the justice system is essential for Albania’s future in the EU. Good meeting today with Justice Minister Toni Gogu, where we discussed the importance of the sustained implementation of justice reform and the need to focus on EU membership priorities. Looking forward to working together to support further progress,” stressed Sofia Moreira de Sousa, the EU ambassador to Albania.
