Music — 57 years after the breakup, the Beatles keep earning millions
The Beatles’ legacy continues to generate considerable income for the families of the group’s four main members, as corriere.it writes.
According to Apple Corps’ 2025 accounts, approved on September 28 and filed in London on September 30, Yoko Ono Lennon, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney and Olivia Harrison have each benefited by around 10 million euros over the last year.
Apple Corps, created in 1963 initially under the name “The Beatles Limited,” manages an important part of the commercial activities related to the group, including the music catalog, copyright, the Beatles’ name and image, and film productions.
According to the financial data, the group’s revenues for the period February–December 2025 reached around 51 million euros, or 44 million pounds, compared with 31.8 million euros in the previous period.
The company has described its ordinary activity as significantly growing.
A considerable part of the money is distributed to the four families through payments for promotional services and the use of the name and image.
Each of the shareholders benefited by around 8.9 million euros, while dividends added more than 1 million euros per person.
These figures do not include the other income the families receive individually from personal rights related to the music and legacy of the group’s members.
The Apple Corps board has representatives of all four families.
For the Lennon family there are two representatives: Yoko Ono Lennon and John Lennon’s son, Sean Ono Lennon.
57 years have passed since the Beatles’ last public appearance as a full group, on January 30, 1969, at the famous concert on the roof of the Apple Corps building in Savile Row, London.
