Nighttime Police Operation in Skopje: Several Detained in Vehicle-Registration Financial Crime Probe, Damage Exceeds 13 Million Denars

Late last night, a wide police operation was carried out in Skopje, during which several people were detained and raids were conducted at several locations. The operation was carried out by members of the Department for Combating Organized and Serious Crime at the Public Security Bureau of the Ministry of Interior.

The news was confirmed by the Ministry of Interior itself for the media, announcing that the operation is being conducted as part of an investigation into serious financial crime, with suspicions of financial misuse in the vehicle-registration procedure.

According to media information, the investigation concerns material damage amounting to over 13 million denars (around 211 thousand euros). Media also report that among the suspects is an employee of a public enterprise.

The investigations are ongoing, and full details are expected to be made public by the Ministry of Interior in the coming hours.
