OPEC+ expected to keep November oil production targets unchanged, Reuters says
OPEC+ is expected to keep its oil production targets unchanged for November, Reuters reports, citing four delegates of the group, while Al Jazeera writes that the group is meeting today.
According to the reporting, OPEC+ producers in the Persian Gulf have pumped well below their targets in the face of ongoing external threats to the oil industry.
The U.S.-Iran war has also delayed the review of the group’s production capacity — a key process for determining the members’ production baselines for 2027.
OPEC+ has raised production targets during most of 2026, after years of cuts, but most of the additional production has not materialised, as the war has disrupted supplies.
The decision to keep the targets unchanged comes at a moment when oil markets remain tense from the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the attacks on energy infrastructure in the region.
