Six-year-old girl dies of wounds after being shot by Israeli soldiers in Gaza

Suha Mohammed Nasser, 6, has died of her wounds after being shot by Israeli soldiers inside her home, Al Jazeera Arabic reports, as Al Jazeera writes. The attack took place in Wadi al-Salqa, south of Deir el-Balah, in the central part of the Gaza Strip.

Earlier in the day, the Palestinian Saqr al-Qaisi was killed and 10 others were wounded when an Israeli drone struck a school sheltering displaced people in Gaza City. Israeli forces have also carried out a series of strikes and building demolitions across the Gaza Strip, wounding several people.

The little girl’s death deepens the heavy civilian toll of Israeli operations in Gaza, at a time when the regional U.S.–Iran war continues to spread violence on several fronts.
