Parliament convenes over citizens’ concerns, but the protests and SHISH draw the attention; Berisha accuses the Government, Peleshi:
This Monday’s session began with debates.
While the Speaker of Parliament, Niko Peleshi, opened the session’s proceedings and gave the floor to the SP MP Klevis Jahaj, objections were heard from the DP side of the chamber.
It was the head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, who appeared to disagree with the start of the session, while on the other hand the meeting of the Laws Committee was continuing.
According to him, “the right to take part in the session of the members who are in committee is being denied”.
Peleshi said that these two agendas have nothing to do with each other and that the session could continue normally.
“The parliamentary session is more important than any committee meeting. We cannot move the session,” he said.
The session concerned discussions of citizens’ concerns, with speeches and proceedings scheduled to last 4 hours, but attention focused on Thursday’s protest, the political speeches, SHISH and its former director Vlora Hyseni.
Berisha, as always, based his political discourse on current political events and attacks on the government and Prime Minister Rama.
He warned the socialists in the chamber that “you will end up like him”.
