Police Enter Warehouse Holding Students’ Promotional Material: “Cheap Intimidation Attempts Will Not Affect Us at All”

Students blockading higher education institutions in Serbia announced that police officials from the Economic Crime Department entered their warehouse today, where promotional material prepared for upcoming election actions was stored.

According to the students’ announcement in an Instagram post, the police “showed up without an order and entered private property.” The students emphasize that the quick reaction of lawyers, students and citizens showed once again that they will not give up and cannot be intimidated.

Saying that “the smarter one doesn’t retreat, but organizes,” the students announced that in the coming days they will wear shirts, badges and other signs with the message “Students win.” “The choice before us is clear — Serbia or the mafia,” the post says.

The event comes ahead of the snap parliamentary elections of October 25, in which the Student List “Students win” competes as list number 3. The students called the police entry into the warehouse a cheap attempt at intimidation that, according to them, “will not affect them at all.”
