Rusyn party “Zajedno za Vojvodinu” backs the Student List for the October 25 elections

Belgrade, September 15, 2026 – The Rusyn national minority party “Zajedno za Vojvodinu” (Together for Vojvodina) announced on Tuesday that it is giving its full support to the Student List for the October 25 elections in Serbia, the Serbian newspaper Danas writes.

In its announcement, the party says it will fully support the Student List in the upcoming October 25 elections, as it sees in young people “the key force that will launch the wave of much-needed change in our society.”

Party leader Olena Papuga stated: “The strong student voice has always been the driver of historic change, and this brave generation today represents an insurmountable obstacle to autocracy and heralds the final fall of Aleksandar Vučić’s regime. Their energy and determination reflect a pure desire to live in a fairer system, where the laws apply equally to everyone and institutions serve citizens, not a party.”

According to the announcement, supporting young people means supporting the urgent democratization of the country and the restoration of the shaken rule of law. The party called on all residents of Vojvodina to support the Student List, because “victory begins where free ideas are born – at the university.”
