Second phase of Serbian Army’s joint tactical exercise “Pobednik 2026” begins

As part of the second phase of the joint tactical live-fire exercise “Pobednik 2026”, Serbian Land Forces units are conducting offensive combat operation drills at several locations, the Ministry of Defense announced today.

The units marched with combat vehicles from peacetime locations to duty zones, with protective measures and combat operations in various conditions, day and night.

The emphasis is on establishing military presence in a given territory, controlling the territory, monitoring road communications and important facilities, as well as procedures for operating in a civilian environment.

The goal, according to the Ministry, is to improve and verify readiness for marching tasks, as well as the use of new weaponry and observation equipment that give commands new capabilities for the situational picture on the ground.

The exercise began at the end of August and lasts until the first week of October. The activities so far, according to the Ministry of Defense, confirmed a high level of training, readiness and professionalism of Serbian Army members.
