Shala: The BIA arrests in Serbia are a hybrid war against Kosovo
The recent arrests by the BIA in Serbia are being seen as an attempt to create hybrid warfare and disinformation against Kosovo’s national security, security expert Drizan Shala declares for KosovaPress.
Yesterday, according to KosovaPress, in a joint operation involving the BIA, the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Jagodina and the police administrations of Vranje and Jagodina, D.C. (46) from Shilova, Gjilan, was arrested in Vranje, while N.P. (50) from Jagodina was arrested in Jagodina. They are suspected of having provided information to Albania’s State Intelligence Service (SHISH), the Kosovo Intelligence Agency and the Kosovo Police intelligence unit about the BIA and its operational activities.
Shala draws attention to the fact that security institutions must be more careful now, ahead of the election campaign in Serbia. According to him, there may be attempts at destabilization in the form of a hybrid war directed at Kosovo’s national security.
The security expert, as KosovaPress writes, also interprets this as a search for justification regarding the same activities carried out by Kosovo’s institutions, which aimed to neutralize the actions of Serbia’s intelligence service in Kosovo.
